I know there are plenty of you who have got more knowlege and resources than me so if you can help me out I appreciate it.

I have an 01 RS and am looking for a set of springs. I want a moderately increased spring rate and about 3/4 of an inch of drop. I had a 98 legacy with the H&R sort springs but that was too low for minnesota roads (i lived in Arizona at the time). The only springs I have found for my RS that are not for racing are some made by STi on the boxer4racing website. If any of you have any info it would be appreciated.

I have Eibach Pro Kit springs on mine. I think it's a 1" drop on the front, and 1.2" in the back (for better weight distribution). Rates are up by about 15lbs over stock I think.

I've been happy enough with them.

Koni inserts. But one's busted, so I'm looking to upgrade to GC coilovers when I get a replacement one. Not that the Eibachs have been bad to me, just that there are better options for an AutoX car that weren't around when the Eibachs were put on it.

I also think the prodrives are the way to go.

I am running STi Pinks, off a v5 wagon. they are great springs but impossible to find. PRA4SNO originally had some Tiens on his car i am not sure what model they were but that was too low for winter, and you should avoid those springs.

I do not know if they will fit your car but I just had my stock STi springs removed. If you find out that they will and you want them we could work out a little deal for some clear bra material install around my antenna mounts area.... just let me know.

go STi tarmac springs and kyb agx shocks. the sti tarmacs are the stiffest springs out there for the GC at 287front and 271 rear. they are also very close in spring rate so it'll give you a better handling over all other springs, plus it's OEM subaru, cant' go wrong. also it has the drop that you want too. it sits perfect, not too low, not too high.

    Sti springs????

LVT i like the idea and it sounds like a good fit but are they the same as the STi springs on like oh... say... a 05 Sti. Similar to mlgez"s

The STi Tarmacs are not STANDARD springs, they are stiffer than the stock springs on the GC8 STi's. The STi RA might have had stiffer shocks or even adjustible, but I don't think the Tarmac springs came as standard equipment.

I think I got Tarmacs(?). Pretty stiff stuff and I feel every bump. Anyways they are hard to find and I dont think you can get them anywhere except for a JDM vendor or rallispec.

My current set-up is (I THINK) Sti tarmac springs with GAB adj shocks imported straight from the motherland. I still cant figure out if these are Tarmacs like the RA's or just plain v5/v6 STI springs...
