spt intake

    would one of those fit on my 04 rs at all or is it like not meant for a n/a cause i was just reading about it on the spt website and it mentioned diverting air to the turbocharger and everything. so i thought i would just ask around about this thanks

    no it wont work, i think spt still offers a short ram intake for the RS, maybe not, but alot of other folks do!

    If you have that wacky new intake manifold and a MAP sensor, your only intake option is the injen one.

    ohh thats a bummer, i dunno, what kind of intake do you guys suggest? i know intakes dont make much of a difference but just a nice reliable cheap one would be nice

    drive to local McDonalds... steal about 1000 'FREE' straws.. glue together with filter at end!!! CHEAP short ram intake... mission accomplished... :biggrin:

    i think your answer is right there. Look at your intake manifold and current intake. If there is an airbox on top of the throttle body with an air filter in it you have a lot of cold air intake options. If there is a WRX style smaller air filter in a small box on your right the only intake that is made for your car is made by injen. It's expensive but it adds quite a bit of HP to the car, in fact much more than your average cold air intake usually does for any car. Look it up on nasioc if you want to see some dyno sheets.

    Injen makes quality parts. Regardless if you have other options it's a good intake.

    suggest that i take break it into intervals just so then they dont suspect anything? :) hahaha

    yeah it is an airbox so i will prolly be considering a aem cai or something still gotta think about this cause i am also saving up for an sti for a couple years in the future.
