My car (2002 wrx) has always had this problem since I've had the car but seems to be getting worse. It runs and drives fine but when as soon as I push in the clutch to slow down the rpms drop way down and it seems to search for an idle and the lights even dim, if I have quick feet I can keep it from stalling but otherwise I just pop the clutch and it starts back up haha. The mods are an sti up pipe, catless down pipe and turbo back exhaust, supposedly a Cobb tune but no clue if that's true, and a tial bov. I'm guessing the bov is the problem? It's extremely annoying so any advice or tips would be appreciated.

First thing i would do is confirm what tune is on the car.

How would I find that out? The guy I bought it from said it had a Cobb stage 2 tune in it so that's all I'm going off of.

Did he include the accessport hardware? You can check with that. If not get a hold of a tuner. They can pull your rom and a seasoned tuner should be able to identify what kind of tune is on the car (cobb off the shelf, aggressive custom tune, stock, etc...)

Much of it may be from the atmospheric BOV.

I didn't get an accessport no, and I live 3 1/2 hours north of the cities (Hibbing) so obviously there isn't any tuners around here.. Its a problem I can live with for the time being, it's just really freaking annoying haha.

If you wanted to meet me sometime next weekend in grand rapids i will be up in that area 24th-28th and i can do a opensource log of your car during a pull and when this stall happens and give the car a quick look over and you can post the logs up for the tuners to look over and give you some idea.s
