    WTB- Sti and misc.

Looking for sti hood scoop for fit on 02 wrx.(Who isn't,right!?) Wrb, but would consider any color.lmk. Also would like 3 gauge pod for clock replacement,w/or w/out gauges. Clear side marker lenses or tinted.02 of course. Also have interests in a 5spd man. short throw, if anyone has one of these, def. let me know. I know alot of this stuff can be found on e-bay and other sites, but many of you are stripping and replacing parts and recycling is good for the enviroment! Just wanted to check w/the family first!;)

I am currently custom making mine with a buddy.. I believe the hole into the scoop will be 4-4.5 inches high.... he has been fibre glassing it the last week or so.. should be nasty when it is done.. and it should flop around like the stock STI ones...

1 OFF baby.. now thats custom

Let me know when its done! I'll come down and check it out. Maybe he wants to make more eh? He might have some interests from others on here too if he does a good job. Hehe.. if he wants some practice to get it down just right, he could do mine too, for free right!?

Thats te one thing i hate about the big scoops. they look like they are gonna disintergrate when you are going over bumpy stuff. thats why i say small scoops FTW!

+1 on re-enforcing,gonna do it-do it right! I like the sharper lines on the bigger scoop, fits the car better than the rounded stock. Really might be interested in the custom made for the fact that we could sharpen the lines and make it about 3 to 3.5 inches...hmmm..definitely lmk when your finished with it!

Bigger scoops can catch bigger birds on the intercooler!!! As for clear sidemarkers, I've had 2 different brands for my car and both are total POOP in quality. (By that I mean you can see the glue inside the edges of the plastic and they don't hold themselves into the fenders with the clips they provide) Just buy the ebay 15 dollar ones and tint them or spray them black.

I went by and saw mine.. let me say.. Holy 5hite.... its fricking aggressive... i am hoping he was gonna send me some pics tonight but hasnt yet...

he hasnt finished it yet... still got more fiberglassing to do.... but man he got the lines looking great on both sides... problem with scoops is the bigger they are the less they flow with the bugeye lines... but i dont care after seeing mine...

as far as cost for him doing another... well i am not sure as I know he would have to put a few hours into it probably like 8-10... so it may be worth your money doing like driftin240 and buying one painted.. JDM Sti copy...

If you can't find a short throw, the Cobb and Kartboy ones are great, but make sure you get all the shifter bushings ordered as well... the help quite a bit.
