I need new pads on my car, are there any good pads available that dust less than the OEM Brembo pads? I know Axxis and Hawk dust more according to what I've found on searches. Do Carbotech pads dust more or less?

generally, the better pads will dust more. its not like the dust is a huge deal, just clean down your wheels more frequently

This is the best statement I've seen for pads in a while.

Also, if your car in under warranty still bring it in, you'll get a free set if you're under minimum specs.

Warranty is only 12k new car adjustments for an 05, 36k started in 06 for new car adjustments.

I went with the hawks and they work great. I haven't noticed the dust issue yet

From what I have seen, the hawks dust less than the stock pads. Carbotech dust a orange color, so depending on the wheel color, you can really see the dust.

I'm using the hawk hps and from my experience they create much less dust than the stock pads did.

I have been VERY happy with the Carbotech Bobcats. Very little dusting compared to stock and HPS.

Crap, I knew I needed new pads, but one of the front driver side pads completely broke apart on the way home tonight. I basically crawled home and down shifted to a stop so that I was gentle on the rotor. The rotor looks ok, I don't think I have to replace it. Does any one know if any of the local shops carry Hawk or carbotech pads in stock? I tried calling but everyone is closed it seems.

Frozen rotors in Burnsville. Ask for Mark Link and tell him you are part of MNSubaru for the club discount.

I'm so far from burnsville I'm worried I'll chew up the rotor. Do you think it'll be ok?

sorry, we dont have any pads. But Call MAP up, i would say they would have something for you. Or if you can live without your car for a day or so, order them from forzen rotors like russ said. If they send them ups or fedex they will be there next day

Damn MAP doesn't have any. I'll try the local Napa and Chekers and see if for some miracle they have some.

I have Axxis! They brake good, dust really bad. I used to have to just spray wheel cleaner and then hose it but now I have to scrub them.

Called them already they were substantially more expensive. The guy I talked to wasn't aware of a discount and Mark wasn't there. MAP ordered them for me, they guaranteed that they will be here tomorrow.
