Has anyone installed these splitters? Anyone know how they install do they just clip on or how do they attach to the car? You can either cut holes in your bumper so the tabs on the splitter snap in there or you can cut the tabs off the splitter and use the supplied 3M double sided tape. I installed these when I had a WRX and just used the tape, never had any problems.
It'll take 30 min for both tops if you don't cut. If you do, do not make the holes too big. Ask Felixthecat. He did a nice job installing his.
I kept the tabs on the splitters. I lined up the tabs multiple times and cut three slits into my bumper with a dremel. I used the mounting screws and brackets that came with the kit and am extremely happy with the results.
Would 3m tape and cutting the taps work just as good you think? Do you think it would hold up for awhile. I know the right way would be cut but I really would rather not cut into my bumper and risk messing somthing up. But I love the look of the sti front end.
