I'm not a 'yota or mr2 fan, but that's one beautiful car, and it shouldn't be hard to spot.

 

lets get this back.

Saw it today on Mr2oc.com posted in the local section. Anything we can do to get it back would be good. W/ the snow tho i doubt the car will be out, as they do not handle snow.

 

man, that sucks.

I would say post WTB Mr2 parts everywhere you know. Especially on craigslist.com
I did that when my Honda was stolen. Didn't work for me but who knows.

From his original thread, he says it's got a Maryland plate, no front plate.

 

no doubt ill look for it. i say if one of us spots it we get a group meet of subarus and go pummel the mofo low life who took it. then well steal it back and i call driver! no blitz:laugh:

but in all seriousness. keep an eye out everyone these cars are rare and will go for highbuck in a choppy shop

 

i will for sure keep an eye out! that car is gorgeous, and pretty sure it wont be hard to pick out of crowd of cars...anyone know how we are supposed to contact him or anything if we spot it?

 

If I find it I might just buy it hot. That car would almost be worth it (I mean this as a huge compliment, his car makes my pants tight).

If you aren't the owner, the cops are probably going to just blow you off.

It took me all of a minute to register on mr2oc.com where this started. I suppose if you didn't want to do that Vortgo or I both have accounts there now.

As far as on this forum. I am appart of the MR2 community. Contact the police if you see it tho. Otherwise i can get in contact w/ him.

 

Wow. I just saw this car last week at the U of Mn. I thought it was very well put together and not riced out at all. It sucks that it was stolen and I'll keep an eye out.

 

i swear i saw this car yesterday on hwy 36 getting off on to dale....i'm pretty sure b/c i think it was the same rims too....

 

Passed it on to the owner.

There are several MNSubaru guys who roll in that area all the time...

 

you dont remember the license plate or what the driver looked like do you....

EDIT: MR-S Was the latest convertible and (correct me if I'm wrong on this) the only convertible in the MR family.

 

Elsewhere, it was called MR-S. Here, it was still MR2 Spyder.

 

yes but most older mr2s had t-tops not hardtops.

 

That's what I meant. There were three tops: hard, T, and sunroof. Ours has the more common t-tops. The hard top is desirable for the weight reduction and its relative rarity.

 

i too will be keeping an eye out, good thing my eyes can spot these things easily

 

Any updates on this MR2? I have been seeing more and more about the "claw" going around the intarnets, which made me wonder about the MR2 persons situation.

wow that is absolutely terrible. it makes me think of animal precinct on animal planet about animal neglect..it kind of makes me mad that he doesn't even care about that rare ass car but mainly the rims..its like WTF dude.

 

fail! if the car is already been found stripped there's no point dwelling on it - might as well make it a point to have people keep looking for other valuable parts (and more importantly a trail that may lead to the thieves). It's not that he cares more about the rims than the car but at this point in time the rims are more important than the car.
