Just finished watching it and I had to post. Please tell me I was seeing things when I say that short and I mean short glimpse of a WRX being towed. I saw just a fender but it was unmistakeable. That sucks for all of them but it had to happen. It is getting way to popular and dangerous. Why can't kids just take it to a track. The things they could lose there can never equal the costs of a SAFE day at the track
I hope not. Looked like the headlamps were black. Dunno to many people around here with morettes and WRB besides me. Insane amount of hondas in that report but some of them cars actually looked pretty clean and well done. Interested to see what the reports were about engine modifications and what not
I watched that tonight as well. The intelligence level of the crowd there, ranked 1-10, was probably a good -10. The one kid was actually quoting a line from the Fast and the Furious . That last group of kids were definitely the icing on the cake, saying that they wouldn't and couldn't ever stop racing. I also saw the WRB WRX, not sure if it was on a flatbed, but it was during the segment of the show where they were showing all the cars that were being towed. If the people that organized these "events" put as much effort into lobbying for a legal strip, instead of doing this crap, they might actually get somewhere, but I just don't see the mentality. Oh well, I'm glad they got caught, and even for the ones that had to sit in the mess, good. It's bad enough that the "racers" are putting themselves in danger, let alone a bunch of spectactors willingly showing up and putting themselves in danger. That's my $0.02, take it or leave it.

That was the dumbest report I have ever seen on street racing. You think it was good for me to sit there for an hour rmrf? Well if the city did something beside stick their thumbs up their @$$es all day I wouldn't have to go to places like that to see racing. I was right on the corner where the Blue WRX was being toed from what I saw (30 ft away) it had blue headlights a body kit and sti wing, I saw the guy that owned it was azn and was told to find his own ride home, yes it was on the flatbed. I had just seen him race 10 minutes before the police popped out.
there's plenty of places to catch race action where it is legal. the forums are filled with threads during the summer about all the track events going on.
I did record that. It wasted my 10 minutes tape. Shame on fox9news. And they miscounted it, it was 15 cars the cops couldn't catch and including my homies and me. But my they caught me by my licend plate. Oh I'm So Scared!!!!
Yes, I go to events, WHEN THEY'RE HELD. And none are as convenient as driving half hour; most tracks are 45 min.+ away from me, especially since St.Cloud won't be hosting any events this year.
i was talking to my buddy with a silvia, and he wont even go down to midway just becuase he doesnt want to take teh chance of getting pulled over
The whole thing is a bunch of crap anyways, the people who are old and have been around a bit longer remember the days of red rock. I sat and waited many nights for 3-4 hours waiting to get my parting ticket. They just want to make it a bit less underground than it used to be. Hell, most of the people from ch9 probably used to go to red rock when they were our ages. Russ
I love how my generation is depicted on Television as moronic trash that think their cars are something special, when in fact, my mom's Lexus could beat most of those piles they call cars. My grandma called me the next day asking if i was there and saying how she hoped i wasn't, which is true. Just wondering, where was the track at anyway, i went to rock falls a few years ago before cement blocks were nailed in, and i've raced at Valley View, but where the heck are they doing all this racing at nowadays, haven't been into the scene for a few years, gets boring, or maybe i'm just too old at 20... I hope not.

There's Brainerd International Raceway (circuit track), Grovecreek Raceway(dirt oval and 1/8th), St Cloud Highway Training (circuit but won't hold lapping events this year), and Dakota County Technical College (circuit, autox)... That's all I can think of off the top of my head thats close to the cities.
who's that guy that said he could convert it to his pc? i havent seen it yet, but on mnsrt4.com, some guy is letting me borrow his tape. so i can watch it and meet up with whoever has that VCR to PC thing because people on mnsrt4 and mnsc.net wants it on the web! or at least mpg or wmv.
Get a clean VHS to me and I can get it on the web in the same time it takes to watch the thing. I can do faster-than realtime encodes to pretty much any format
