Okay so I had 80k on my stock struts with at least 30k of those having prodrive springs on them. I replaced the stock ones with KYB AGX struts and only 1 stock one was bad (drivers rear) Now with 30k on the KYB struts I believe at least one to be bad.

My thoughts were to get the KYB GR-2's, put them on and then get the AGX's warrantied. I don't care if I have the AGX's as I never adjusted them once I installed them. So once I got them replaced by KYB I would sell them since they would be new.

Then I got to thinking... is 30k really all I will get out of KYB struts? I got longer life out of the stock ones.

    So... here are my questions.

    1. Should I get the gr-2's?
    2. should I get KYB's again?
    3. Should I go with stock?
    4. What other stuts would you suggest? (links please)

Thats all I can think of for now. Thanks for your help.

    Bill

Tokico D-specs and HP's, 04 STi/V7 STi take offs, also Koni inserts. There is always coilovers also.

Having coilovers does not necessarily mean a really harsh ride. That is a function of your spring rates and damping, and how well they are matched to your application.

what would you suggest for a daily driver? It is driven all year on all surfaces (ie: gravel, ice, tar)

I'd keep your Prodrive springs and get some Koni Yellows.

I don't need adjustable shocks. I never change the setting I have them on. they are not worth the money to me.

Maybe they would be worth the money if someone taught me the right way to adjust them.

I'm not recommending them because they are adjustable. Yellows are just solid performers, that's all.

Otherwise for some struts that aren't adjustable, try and get your hands on a set of Bilsteins. They are very good, and if necessary, they are cheap to rebuild.

I was going to order some KYB GR-2 the other day for the front of my 02 WRX sedan. They asked if it was for a sedan or wagon. Whats the difference?

Could the wagon ones be a bit stiffer or something?
