you dont think there would be a better choice or a fast board for the dollar? I crave zee speed im a little bitter they sold that main board from under me... Grrr I really liked that one too. im partial to the MSI boards. i can put about 120.00 into a board. but if a 89.00 board is going to be faster, im all about that.
its not all the board..1333 MHZ is quite fast.. its more your processor and ram...that will give you that boost dude if you want a fast board however..you'll wanna spend a little more than 120 haha maybe invest in a board that accepts DDR3 Ram

Ddr3 is a waste of money....at the moment. Last i checked ddr3 was higher frequencey but the timing was much slower. It might have changed by now.....but its still really expensive.
we have it in my friends "beast" 4 gigs of DDR3 runs freaking fast as hell he also has everything synced at 1333 MHZ

It depends on what ddr3 you get.... Example: ddr3 1333mhz at 8-8-8-24 timings would prolly be just as quick as ddr2 800mhz at 5-5-5-15 You could buy "Good" ddr3 ram....just going to cost as assload
aww man...only a 9600gt with that system?!?! Come on he should get a gtx280 or atleast a radeon 4870.
I would strongly suggest that if he does sli to not sli a "mid" range gpu. Get 2 gtx 260 or two radeon 4870's. He wont see much of a performance increase with two 9600gt. I used to have 2 8800gts 320mb in sli, I experienced higher fps, but it was choppier and case temps skyrocketed. Basically, He would be better off with a single highend card then 2 midrangers.
Another thing about sli...you will never see 2x performance. AND if the game isnt coded for sli, then you will experience 1/4 worse performance per extra card.

its pretty dece..its that price because of SLI ready ability...so..if you wanna add additional GPU's to your system in the future that board supports it
just bought it.. with shipping costing me 110.00 i didnt see hyperthreading, but I assume it shouldnt be that big of a deal?? I hope :/
^It will work great. Dont worry bout the HT, it can handle multi threads. O hey Matt, your friend might wanna look into this if he is going to sli that intel mobo. IIRC dont think that Intel chipsets support SLI. I'm purty sure they are for ati crossfire. Its essentially the same thing, but you might run into some driver issues and that jazz..... Props to you if it works. I could be wrong tho
