Interesting, the rear suspension looks different. Is that the tribeca chasis? Also it looks like the turbo placement is different.

Yah, the turboz is under the engine where it should be. It also appears to have variable-length intake runners.

More likely to be a particulate trap than a cat, I'm thinking.

Pretty cool looking to me. I wonder if it's anywhere close to being able to pass California emissions standards?

Diesels without any sort of cat converter, including semis run cleaner then almost all cars, even with all the soot they put into the air, it doesnt harm as much.

Ya, I was thinking that some of the modded turbo diesel trucks are around that 50+psi mark.

My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
I've been reading that some of them are pushing 90+psi modded, plus goodies like propane injection. I want a torque number with a comma in it too!

Subaru's strongest block ever? Time will tell. I wonder who will be the first to look at using the block in a gass aplication?

The soot causes cancer- and it's now regulated. The new fuel spec helps their emmisions quite a bit, bt not enough to meet US standards for soot and CO2. California emmision standards for diesels have yet to be met by ANY manufacturer. Currently you can't buy a diesel car in the 5 states that abide by California's emmision regs.

MB and Honda thought their cars were going to be good enough to pass, but failed by a decent margin when they were actually tested.
