Keep believeing that. If you believe a Thursday forecast delivered on Saturday for any area in Minnesota during the April and May months....
Also, the weather report I just read says 43 and clear for Thursday with 0% chance of precipitation. Today was 90% chance of precipitation ALL DAY. The sun came out around 8am today in Chanhassen and it is still out. Minnesota weather predictions mean jack squat, they aren't even a close guess during this time of year. One week of 50 degrees consistently with evening temps above freezing. When the 7th day arrives and it's still 50's, then you can put your winters away.

I should clarify, that's the forecast for Shakopee. It still says 57% chance but like I said before we'll see what happens. It's not like I would completely believe its gonna snow(like you said its April and the forecast changes by the hour.) More of a heads up to those who want to throw summer tires on.

I was doubtful Friday morning hearing predictions of up to 4 inches accumulation, but was glad I had winter tires on when I went in to work tonight at 9pm. Some places saw over 6" today, and it was nasty, heavy, wet stuff to drive in.

I usually wait until the low temperature stays over 40 degrees, and it looks like this will be a late year for the summer tires. Of course, this is all my fault because I bought some new summer wheels over the winter ... thanks Murphy's Law.

So for your first post you are claiming sole responsibility for the slow start to spring this year...

    Hahah.

Well, I'll try to make up for it ... I'm buying a snow blower this year, so we should see little to no snow next winter.

It's an inconvenience but with up to a foot of snow otw your making the right choice. And as of now the forecast doesn't seem to be looking up anytime soon.

I'm looking forward to a brand new car lol

It's gonna be wet more than anything as we dont have the cold temps to support the snow.

If enough of it falls it can justify snow tires.

Yeah. One session @ DCTC for the NF Event with Star Specs on made me realize I will never drive my summers when there is possible ice. My car was everywhere... I am happy I had winter tires to toss on.

He wasn't running Star Specs. However, there were a few people on summer tires out there. They did work, just not as well as winters and all-seasons.

I was pushing though that ice like no tomorrow. The rest of the track was fine... but that hair pin I couldn't grip it. I would either push 3/4 of the way though the turn, or fishtail like crazy. The sad part was I was going really slow though it. Lots of people were running summers. I was just happy to have two sets of tires so I could use the best option. The DZ101's, which I think BroCo had on as well, seemed to grip better then the Star Specs on ice. I guess they are a less aggressive summer tire though, so it makes sense.

I don't think the summers will be going on in April, took this picture this morning after the snow removal crew came through my neighborhood.

The battery is dead from sitting too long, otherwise I would bring it out this weekend. I have a new battery, but haven't had time to swap it out. I can't get it up the driveway anyway, so there is really no point.
Also, the Z is my weekend car. I don't commute in it, plebes.

It sounds like the drive home will be the fun one.

I hope nobody has Nexen N5000's like I do. These are already worthless in dry conditions, let alone inclement weather.
