i have a 1992 svx and was wondering if any one had gas guage problems with it? i go about 200 miles and it at E the light is not on and it only takes about 12 gallons of gas. i have been everywhere and it says 18.5 gallon tank and the lights comes on when its down to 2.3 or something. i just need to know if i can push it when it gets down to E.
I have never had a problem with mine, the only thing I can think of is the dash has most likely been apart, and they forgot the mark the needles where they should have been... where are you located, there are a few of us on here
i am in brooklyn park, so that being said i know i had a 96 tsi that you had to reclock the fuel pump because alot of those had the same problem. i just talked to another guy who had the same problem. what are you seing for gas mileage?
LOL, freeway or city... realistically, I get about 25 freeway/highway and about 12 in the city, but thats all because of how I drive
i do alot of freeway but i also have a heavy foot i like to hear th exhaust note when ever i get the chance. but i like i said i do alot of freeway.
I'm getting about 20mpg over all and I do lots of highway. Well I was getting that until my trans went out but there is a rebuilt on it's way from Subaru for it and the warranty company is paying for ½ of it. So now I got new powersteering pump, wheelbearings and tranny in my 92. Also have more money into it now with my ½ of the trans but it's still better then a car payment. Now I need to add a tranny cooler to it. Not sure what to say about your gauge. I fill around ¼ tank all the time. Are you the one I saw parked down the road from the Vo-tech and BP Subaru?
