Sweetbugi and I are trying to put new sway bars in the rear of his car. We are running into problems mounting the brackets on the passenger side beacuse the filler neck is in the way any suggestions? :dunno:
i had the same problem. Flex head ratcheting wrench, or an extreme amount of patience is the only cure.
it is a beeotch. You may have to just try to make sure the mounting bolt is going in without cross-threading and do it in quarter turns. It sux, but that's pretty much the way you have to do it. Getting that bolt in first was what I did. The other bolt pissed me off more! It broke off when I was taking it out :-/
We tried that swivels and extensions no luck so far. As far as the patience goes we are both all out and done taking turns trying.
JK everyone we have another problem. The frame brackets we in stalled have nuts welded into them and matching bolts came with it. However, the holes in the the brackets that attach the sways to the frame barckets are way to small. If we make the holes bigger will it weaken the brackets?
yeah that one bolt by the filler neck is a MAJOR pita. quarter turns with a racheting combo wrench is about the only way.
