Anyone else using the Tapatalk app experiencing issues with uploading pictures? Specifically what happens is I tap on the picture upload symbol and it asks me to enter my username so I do. This prompts a 'network error' message and end of story. This occurs for every forum not only MNSubaru. Curious if anyone has found a resolution or maybe I'm cursed.

Yeah, I have a resolution, don't use Tapatalk. I've never used it, and I have never had a function not work on any forum I visit. Not only that, but I was never part of that annoying trend of "Tapatalk Signatures." Which, btw, will earn you what I call a "personal warning." It isn't official, or part of any rules on the site, but I'll give you points for using it simply because it makes you look like an ass and is annoying.

Yup. I have issues with just about everything when it comes to TapaTalk. I don't understand why it's as popular as it is now that we have reasonably competent mobile browsers.

The tapatalk signature is globally turned off on the tapatalk side of things, so if you do see it that is a tapatalk error.

Like I posted a couple of months ago. There will also be ads and promoted topics and link associations, none of which MNSubaru will likely get paid for. They say that they will, but it will most likely be pennies on the dollar compared to their cut. I also have no control over any of it. Their system also does not use the Xenforo spam management, so I usually have to kill 20-25 new "members" from the russian federation every day.

I suggest that you just use your mobile browser for the site and let me know what doesn't work. MNSubaru is a responsive website, I just need to spend some time to make it more "pretty" for certain screen sizes. I have been messing with some ad layouts that will not totally destroy the site on certain screen sizes, and they seem to be working out ok. So I just need to roll them into the whole site and start dialing everything in for the most common screen sizes. I was hoping to do it over Christmas break if I do end up having the week off. After that time and if I can get enough feedback on it, I may just disable tapatalk completely and force everyone to use the responsive side of the site.

Just because he is having issues doesn't mean you have to disable it. I paid for taptalk a while back... before we had good browsers. I would like to continue to use it. I have no issues with it.

    Thanks

This is the first issue I can remember having with Tapatalk and personally I like using it. It's stripped down and simple to browse quickly as well as post quickly. I have no idea what you're talking about with the signature nonsense. I post from Tapatalk and it appears the same on the forum as if I used the browser. I was merely asking if anyone had come a across the problem and found a fix or loop hole, didn't mean to start a **** fit.

I wouldn't disable it because of *THIS* issue, I would disable it because of the many other issues AND the fact that tapatalk is making money off of OUR site and we get nothing in return. The other main issue is security. Tapatalk has nothing to help protect the site that it is installed on. I spend 30+ minutes a day sorting new users that tapatalk allows onto the site that do not get any spam screening.
