Husband was cursing at the TV while I was trying to listen to an audiobook and organize the craft room. Must have been terrible.
I knew it, I predicted Giants beat Packers. NY has been playing very good football in the past month. The shock to me was 49ers beat Saints. That was very good game.
Defense was shakey as usual, offense looked just horrible. If they wouldn't have gotten those two "questionable" calls, the final score would have looked even worse. They looked more like the Vikings than the Packers yesterday with the whole 15-1 season and a first round ass whoopin in the playoffs. I feel that the bye definitely hurt us, but i wasn't convinced that we'd go all the way this year anyways with the aweful defense that we had. All it takes is a good defensive stand by the opposing team to shut down our offense and without the D to back us, it's all over but the cryin. Oh wellz, still enjoyed our overall season this year, we did better than we probably should have.
It wasn't even just the final blown call. What about the roughing the passer that wasn't - he was being tackled, legally while throwing the ball which was tipped and intercepted. Then the pass interference on Shields while Rice was on his back and had his hands in his face mask. These two plays continued a drive that flipped the field.
Too bad that they wouldn't have struck a deal "before" that last game. We would have another win under the belt. Hi phi11!! Yeah!
I was pissing off all of the guys last night watching the game. Every time the Packers did something poorly I would scream, "DISCOUNT DOUBLE CHECK."
I am over Capers...I there was no intensity on the Packer's sideline, and they were soooo flat in the second half. They let it happen. I am not going to try take anything anything away from the 49'ers, they are super solid, but I can't stand the bro-style of their QB. I am hoping that Ted Thompson will shake stuff up in the offseason...Is Lovie Smith still unemployed? Can has a defensive coordinator that will work from the sideline? So much wasted talent...
Didn't go as planned? True fans will never forget Joe Montana, but he was not there and they didn't have enough. You can change your avatar now
Just an FYI, I am a VERY sarcastic guy and I like poking fun at er'body. Kinda like Family Guy. When it relates to sports, I fulfill the stereotype of artist... I didn't know what time the game started (or for that matter that the game was today) until I was at the gas station around noon... and I didn't know that the game was over or who won until I just got this post alert... I have been working on a new terrarium for my frog. Lulz. However, I used to play Joe Montana Sports-talk football on Sega Genisis when I was a youngin' if that counts for anything.
Nope, we still made it to the super bowl. The whole beat the hell out of your Packers sure did tho. Did you have fun watching them in the pro bowl? LOL
I did not watch the Pro Bowl because...why would I? I can understand why you are sad. Your team beat itself. Being a Packers fan (born and raised IN Green Bay), I can relate to that. I have seen that happen with my Packers this year and last year. I still stand strong as a fan, even when they suck (which has not happened in awhile). There are few fan bases that can claim that type of dedication, and I am proud to be a part of one of them. Overall, your Niners seemed almost unstoppable going into the playoffs. (intensity, talent, great coach, etc.). I really think that the most significant difference in the Super Bowl was the QB's. Flacco was a rock and Kaepernick was running scared most of the time.
