The subie took another smash this morning on the way to work. I got behind some older guy who had two open lanes to turn into(right on red) - and he pulled halfway out and stopped and I crashed into the back of his car. His honda bumper is cracked and it smashed in a foglight and cracked my front bumper a couple more times. I HATE HESITANT DRIVERS. I wanted to get out and hit this guy and to top it all off he was an a$$hole to me about it. After we exchanged info and were ready to go a cop pulls up and keeps us there for 20 minutes almost making me late for work and then she gives me a ticket for inattentive driving even though I was watching him turn and couldn't stop in time cuz my car is all f-ed up from Friday. This is typcial of my experience with women cops and she didn't even see the accident. Up until this morning I haven't been in an at-fault accident since I was 16. As if the crap on Friday busting my rim wasn't bad enough I get this to add to it.

The court will listen to your plea. Go fight the ticket in two weeks.

Sorry to hear of your accident. Hopefully, your insurance company won't make it a big deal and pay you for the damages.

The damages aren't my concern at least to my car. I now have to make a claim and have this jerkoffs car fixed cuz he doesn't know how to turn right on a red into a clear road. I'm more concerned about my rates increasing cuz of an at-fault accident. I'm definitely going to court to fight the ticket that b--ch cop gave me.

That really sucks man. Seems like any rear end accident is an automatic at-fault ticket to the person who hit the other person. You should be able to despute the ticket; she wasn't there to whitnetss it. If the other guy wont come in to claim anything then you are the only whitness. Last accident I was in I clipped someone's back right bumper corner. State trooper didnt hand out any tickets. He just asked us both if we wanted to file anything, we both said now, exchanged info and left. Sounds like she has a hardon for handing out tickets :(!

Every woman cop I've ever dealt with except for an AV one that flirted with me after she pulled me over has been a total beeeeotch.

too bad it had to become a legal issue, usually the insurance companies just resolve that stuff for you, especially in MN. sorry to hear about the bad luck. I say go to court with all your info and pictures in order and hope the other guy and officer don't show, explain the situation and be courteous - keep in mind that driving with a damaged vehicle makes you somewhat liable. hope your luck turns around [xx(]

Best of luck, I doubt you will win that one. It's kind of a catch-all ticket, you rear ended the other driver, therefore, you weren't paying close enough attention. I would still try to fight it, however, as I have seen worse things dismissed...
