I thought it was a real show of power. Loved it. We need a couple more just like it so that we can green up the foliage around here. I couldnt sleep very well because every time I'd doze off it would CRASH right outside my window. I ended up just getting up and poking around mnsubaru at about 3am...haha
I loved it for sure. I woke up and checked the radar. It definitely showed some power for wind. I wasn't so worried about hail, but the winds, sweetness. <-- has a degree in meteorology
3:20am there was a bright flash and an immediate bang. A big bang. Then our power went out. I went back to sleep and when I woke up the power was back on. I like storms.
We must have lost power for at least a little while, because the kitchen computer rebooted (only one not on UPS). There's a tree branch broken off in our neighbor's backyard, though still hung up in the tree. I guess my brother in law has been without power since last night and isn't expected to get it back very soon. I should see how the storm was at my parents where I just put in a bunch of new windows.
it woke me up in the middle of the night and must have knocked our power out. my alarm clock was reset and i didn't wake up in time for work this morning since the alarm didn't go off. I was pissed.
There were trees down all over Como Campus, again. I woke up at abouts 3:20 there to take out my fan on the window because rain kept getting me wet. hahaahaa yes it was like OMFG RAIN!!!!
i didnt even know there was a storm until i want to my buddy's house on lake street and it was out of power. They told them it would be another day or so before it was back. sucks. I jsut slept through it, I didnt even know it rained last night.
sat. we lost power for about 20 hours, so driving in last nights storm, I swear, we killed around 80-100 frogs/toads. They just jumped into the streets.
It didn't storm here as bad as other places. I enjoyed it even though I had to pick up a bunch of broken tree branches around the yard and the pool's chemicals got all messed up so no swimming for a a few days. You live in New Brighton?
T3h rain pownt 3rik!............... On another note....eriq, got my moto-cycle permit on Friday! w00t!!!!
Last night the lightning was intense. I sat out on the deck for about an hour watching the lightning in the sky (no cloud-to-ground). Crazy. Then it got really calm. Then it rained to beat all hell. Our lake is starting to fill back up, now. That is good.
definately was fun to watch. hard to goto work this morning too... very tempting to go find a big puddle of mud
We got hammered last night. I ran fire calls non stop from 11pm to 2 am, then I ran 2 more between 3-6 am. Needless to say I'm a bit sleepy at the moment. We had everything from fire alarms to lighting struck houses to a full blown house fire to respond to. It was pretty spectacular though
