Here are the first few. I will try and get some better quality ones in the gallery tonight. I missed a tick box when I resized them and the quality dropped WAY down. I also have about 10-12 that I need to do some creative editing with that will make some nice pictures. Rest of the gallery here. http://subiewrx.smugmug.com/gallery/7548241_ae4PT#487631385_vg5Av Russ
Awesome pics as always Russ! Thanks for spending the day in the cold, wet mess with us to take them!! Also, speaker storage, ftw...lol.
Joel ended up with so many because of the 15 or so picture sequesnce where they slide into the cone and watch it all the way. The Saab's we were too busy dodging to get good pics of them, and if it isn't sideways, its boring. And Kevin, I will try and get that picture chopped and uploaded tonight. Thanks again everyone for the kind words. Now lets see everyone else's pics.... Russ
Thanks for all the pics Russ! I'll have to print one to show to girl who made my replacement magnetic numbers, she lectured me on how mounting them to a clean, dry surface will keep them from falling off. Ummmm.... we were running a little short on clean, dry surfaces.
So the Outback was too ugly for anyone to get some action shots of besides the sequential cone slay? Russ might i bother you to send me that sequence of pictures? threshld1 gmail com
too funny!!! i was debating drawing them on in the mud because i really didn't think they'd make it when we switched numbers the last time. congrats amy, and thanks russ!!!!!
Nothing like playing in the mud. Where were the mud wrestlers! LOL Sweet pictures and time well spent.
Just wait, that is one of the pictures that I am going to spend some time on. It might be the one right before or right after, but it was SUPER crisp, so I will be able to crop out the outside stuff and grab a real nice shot of the car and the mud. I know there was a couple of good ones of Boss's STI that will get a little extra attention also. Russ
I got pics of that drift with the car sliding toward me. Unfortunately a courseworker got between me and the car, so none of them are even worth uploading.
Great pictures, thanks for sharing. Yeah, there's lots of photos of my car, but there were two drivers too. Any picture where it looks like my car is going fast is Brent, not me.
Thank you to spaz for inviting me to show up to this, and thank you to everyone for showing me a great time. I have so many photos to sort through. Hopefully I'll have some read to post in the next day or two.
pics are looking great so far! I like the video too, especially the ending, the shot of the 08 STI at 4:00 is awesome, also the caravan shot (the one part I am in ). I am just getting ready to clean up some more pictures stay posted.
No one could get the smile off my face right now. SOOOOO glad it's rallyx season again! I love this sport! Thank you everyone again for making these events happen. I LOVE IT!
Well I was tinkering around with some more HDR stuff. Let me know what you think. Edit: 2nd pic removed. sorry folks, but it wasnt good enough
^I was kind of thinking the same thing. It is tricky to tweak colors and images on a laptop screen. So much depends on the angle you are viewing the screen.
not bad martin but please don't become the typical car forum HDR poster (editing HDR's to get the HDR "look" instead of making them really work as an HDR. the second one is borderline close to that style)
haha! good point. I am just having fun with photoshop, but keep the criticism coming. Here are some more normal pictures. I am dangerously low on hard drive space, going to have to make some room before I can work on more pictures. I like how the mud is coming out of the fog light cover in the 2nd pic.
This will be my last batch for a while. hope you enjoy BTW: It looks like I stole Russ's picture, but I didnt I was standing right next to him so it looks 98% the same
Oh man, some nice shots. I have gone through mine and come up with 50 or so solid photos that will end up in my flickr page tomorrow. Of those 50 some pics there are 10 at best I am really REALY happy with. I'll get them up ASAP though. And where was I when that blue and white Legacy was sliding sideways like that? Damn!
I have a whole series of photos leading up to and past that cone I will see if I can dig them up quick. Edit: Found it. "The Moment of Impact".
OK, I need that for my sig "picture". Can I have it? At least I did it on a run that got screwed up elsewhere. Seems to me Dan ruined a fairly fast run by hitting a pylon once. Anyone remember that? Fixed it for ya!
I think you can just right click and save. If not I'll send it your way. And yes, I remember that well. Remember that competitive streak we were discussing:biggrin: It is strong in this grasshopper.
Ok, I am too antsy to wait until I have them all finished up. I have to post a few samples. These are not done with processing. I cropped thes, and played with brightness and contrast a bit, thats it so far. I'll have the rest done tonight. I was there mainly to work on panning shots since I have never done those before. I got some good stills in the mud as well, I'll have those ready later.
