So I am looking at picking up a roof rack for my 98 2.5RS coupe, and it's telling me I need the Short Roof Adapter. The site also said I needed this for my old MX-6, but I never used one and was perfectly fine hauling whatever I needed. Is anyone else running a thule system around here? I was Thule fit/install certified for a number of years, but now that it's my money, I want to know if it's really needed.

I have one and would highly recommend having it. Or else your cross bars will be very close. And if you are using a ski rack, it will be impossible to get the bindings to fit between them without the extension.

Thanks man, now all I have to do is dig one up somewhere, $125 for a new one is a little steep. :eek4:

I found a set of bars, feet, and old style fairing (SCORE) on CL pretty cheap, so I'm thinking about picking up those this weekend. I'll still need the fit kit, no biggie there. I've got a board carrier set already, and I believe 2 Velo Vices up in the attic....
