i think its about time i changed my timing belt. its getting louder and id rather get that taken care of since almost around 90k miles. ive been told it wont be too much of a pain to do myself but i was wondering if anyone on here knew where i should get mine. what dealership is it that gives the discount on parts? can anyone look up the part for me on here?

    thanks a lot

its kind of a pain my friend..its pretty time consuming if you have never done one before...trust me i know lol..make sure you check your cam seals and tensioner while you are in there cuz you might as well think about replacing them as long as your in there..but thats just my .02

Taking the radiator out makes life much easier. People do it with the radiator in, but I don't think that would be any fun.

there are a few sources on ebay that sell PCi high-quality timing belt kits for a great price. comes with belt and all 4 pulleys. (they also sell them with seals and water pump, but I prefer to get those elsewhere).

Smallcar has awesome prices on high-quality crank and cam seals.

everything else I get from RockAuto.com. I happen to be partial to Beck/Arnley new (not reman'd) water pumps. and they also have Subaru t-stats and housing gaskets.

also, 5% off at rockauto by entering the number 1027020751130 in the "how did you hear about us" line. good through July 8th.

like chux kinda stated you should probably change your water pump while youre in there and also. and sense youre going to have your engine out being that its around the time clutches start to go out i would recommend you change the clutch too they have cheap ones on ebay that ive put in all my cars, theyre an exedy dealer that sells pressure plates and clutches for like $250. other than that like xxtraloud, ive never done one but im available to help aswell. good luck!
