I don't think that IAT is at fault with this one as intake compensation will only pull from the base timing. It looks like this is a graph from a 2.0L WRX running a good amount of boost on a stage 2 setup with maybe a gmbcs? What is your IAM at?
Ok, after a closer look at your spreadsheet, that map is running way too much timing for your boost levels. I'd start by knocking off at least 2-3* from the entire timing table in the high load areas above 2500 rpms and also work on getting your boost in check. It looks to be oscillating quite a bit like you are overshooting your targets.
The IAM pegged at 16, but the car looks like it pulled a lot of timing from 3 grand on, as WOTV's said. Pull the KC table back around 2 degree's everywhere, and try again. Oscillating a bit?
lol...... ok, a LOT. I love how people are jacking up the boost and never increasing the fine/rough correction load range. No wonder his car is still at 16 IAM. Not groovy at all.

See I never knew I could do that, so I can change my load to match what my loggs are seeing. So as long as I get my boost under control, and if I am seeing an engine load of say 4.50 then I can adjust my fine/rough correction load range to match that and adjust the column as needed?
I would just pull 3* from the advance table. I would also increase both the fine and rough detection ranges.
Ok will do, the rough detection range currently sits at a max of 3.60 should I up that to where my fine correction is going to be, aruond 4.70?
What are your egt's at?? You timing is kinda high, but you are close. I don't know if I would knock off a straight 3 degrees untill I knew what kind of egt's you are running. Since you are stg2, you can run more timing since you can't flow the air. Also, what kind of afr's are you running?? How about your injector idc's?? Russ
Personally, I'd pull the timing, get the boost a little more under control, and then work in pushing the timing up a tad. 3* is a lot, but those logs are crazy bad.
After changing my wgdc to get my boost around 16psi, then knock rough correction and fine correction, my IAM dropped to 12 . I will take of 3* from the timing correction map 2500rpm - 6900 in the high load areas. I just want to make sure this is correct before I do anything.
Yes man, this is because the timing is to advanced, and the car is knocking badly. Changing the correction range just enabled the ECU to pull the IAM down to compensate. I would suggest you do a little more reading on the OSEcu forums and the Enginuity forms before doing much more tuning on your car.
You also have to remeber that too little timing will melt down a motor. That is why you should have a egt. I know some people think they are only good in airplanes, but to each their own. Russ
Russ, he will be fine with knocking out 3*. Did you even look at his log? The map calls for 33* of advance at redline! So with the car running the standard 2* differential between the map and logs minus the 3* he should pull out that would lead to somewhere in the 28* area which is much more rational. And I would personally remove the timing from the base map. Usually when I add in timing, I add it to the KC map (and by contrast remove timing from the base timing map).
I did say he was kinda high, but I was also asking what he is running for egt. I have seen stg2 wrx's running 31-32 degrees of timing. He isn't running any boost up top, so he can run more timing. But like it was said before, I am just a retard that should keep my mouth shut. Sorry for any bad info. Russ

Yeah, 650*C is like 1250*F. Russ was talking about an aftermarket EGT probe that is placed in the manifold collector. You should also log injector duty cycle and engine load (RAM) as opposed to engine load (calculated). At least your knocking has appeared to go away. You should probably work on smoothing out your boost curve as it is still pretty rough.
That EGT is pretty low, and even I know that....not being much of a tuner nerd...LOL 650*C is 1202*F Hallywood, incase you didn't know, the conversion for F to C is... 650*C multiply by 1.8 and add 32.
