Well, title says it all. Where do you guys suggest?

I see S3 Performance / Auto Sales and Midwest Auto Salon. Either of these a good place to go or is there better?

I think solar control, sun control, something like that is in BP, not sure if that is the right name, or the right place, but my friend had his TL done there, looks great

Solar Shield in Savage/Prior Lake and in BP. They tinted my car PERFECT, and they give a Subi-club discount. Jeff, got his old Sti tinted there too. He can vouch for the quality.

Well, I'll "third" Solar Shield. They did a fantastic job on my A4; it looks like it was done at the factory. They're not the cheapest tint around but I'm more than happy with their work.

I got the tine on my car done with LLumar Platinum Plus I think. It was done with the 38% all the way around the car with the brow across the windshield. Total cost was $287.00 With a lifetime warranty.

Solar Shield has been around for many years and they do Auto and Business glass work. Tinting is what they do and they do it well. When I got this done at Solar Shield, a lot of the people were going to MAS and getting there’s done for cheaper. It was important to me to have a shop that I know is going to be around in five years if something was to happen, and I know the quality of workmanship is better. Most people who saw the tint on my car thought it was factory. Tinting right to the top of the window, No bubbles or seam lines.

I didn't find this place on my own when considering tinting locations. Most of the members of the Minnessota ImpalaSS Enthusiasts club recommended it, and as you can see from the previous posts, it is worth it for quality.

I am not sure what the actual discount for the MNSubaru Club, but I know they have one. Just Ask.

I had tintmasters do mine. Great work, cost $225. Very clean edges on the top of the glass and they pull out the whole window so the other cut is below the door.

I'd do thm again and I have had a few compliments on how clean it looks(install).

All Tints should come with lifetime warranty. Make sure they use 3M Film...So it will not fade. If they can not gaurantee lifetime go elsewhere. Make sure when you clean your windows with tint on them, you do not use anything with alcohol (windeX) Water in a spray bottle with a tbsp of Vinegar will work wonders. Do not worry the smell will go away...

^that too...Alcohol dries out the film and Amonia fades it.

I went to Solar Shield on Friday. They charged my $278 with tax, I got all 4 doors done and the rear window with 35%. I asked about a club discount and they said they never heard back from anyone in the club. If they do and they get a link added to the site, they'd offer up something like a $10 coupon or something.

Well, it wasn't bad and the people there seemed pretty ok to me. I am not 'real familiar' with a lot of places and I wouldn't have done it if the math didn't work. In the end though, it looks pretty good and it does what I wanted. Providing some 'privacy', it may not be limo-tint, like some spots on my 240 but it's better than nothing.

I'd be happier if it could match the tint on my 240 I got when I was stationed in Cali but I'm going to complain. It's better than nothing..

    Call Dave Metz

    4805 Central Ave.

He did my Evo with 30% all around for $200. I imagine it would be around the same price for a Suby. Really nice guy to work with as well!

Ammonia will actually break down the adhesive....fading will not be a concern.
