    I recentley was the victim of some red necks unwillingness to to use a tailgate or tarp to cover up 2 truck loads of old shingles and nails in the back of one 78' Ford with more rust than paint, my prize was a nail in my tire. It was the size of a finishing nail and they were able to patch it, but is the structual integrity of the tire compromised, i.e. can I still take clover leafs at 60, or is it not sound anymore. Anyone know for sure.

    yeah dont worry about it too much. i have a plug in my all season, and let me tell you i do NOT take it easy on those tires. sideways on gravel and pavement and they hold up just fine, plus there is like no tread left. hehehe......

    i had 3 plugs between (what was left of) my rear 2 tires for the last 2 events of the autocross season.

    They held up just fine... nerve wrecking... but fine.
