LOL, I almost choked when I saw that. LOL.
    Good work my man.

Prep work really depends on the helmet.... This one was an old one that had the vents all broken up... So I did some work on it to meet the design I'm working on.

If the helmet is brand new, a light scuff and some adhesion promoter is all it takes. However... If your helmet has stock stickers buried under the clear, you might want those out.

Yes I do clear my projects when they are done :)
I'll use ppg, high build clear for this helmet,
Usually I'll use something a bit thinner.

Not very often do I spend my time making a paint job look old and ragged on purpous, but I want a destroyed metel steel look on this. So a lot of abuse and sloppyness in certain ways needs to go into this. I'll post a progress pic.

good lawd people.... I'm a busy guy.

    heres a status update...
got the silver on, started work on ratting out the silver to make it look like rusted metal
I will be adding candy rootbeer into the mix, some yellow.... maybe rivits... jet burn and tear marks here and there.
the lines have a pathway left for clean ratting.
