anyone seen torco accelerator for sale in the twin cities area? I'm trying to avoid running straight race gas because of the logistics of transporting the quantities we need to races (need 55 gallons or more per race and don't have space to bring that much with us). It's much easier for me to bring 5 gallons of torco and some empty gas cans.

Nothing local. We always purchased the cans a few years back when we were running it. We tried a 5gal pail of it, but it does bad things to plastic gas jugs.

dang that sucks. we're tuning the new version of the SlowTI at RS next week and I wanted to run the same torco/pump gas mix we'd take to a rally. I might just put race gas in it for now.

Wouldn't one of those auxiliary tanks that you can install into your tow rig's bed hold enough for the weekend? I know my brother was running a big one for biodiesel...

yes it would but it takes up too much space. my k2500 has the 6.5' bed so space is already tight. we have to carry 12 wheels and tires, spare parts, tool boxes, a long frame jack, a generator and a 10x10 or 10x20 tent with us - we really need a cube van but that isn't in the budget

I would have to bring it with me to races... just like race gas. and I'd have to bring even more volume.

Well, the thing with the 5gal can is that is SUCKS to pour out. So we dumped it into one of my jaz fuel jugs. After about a month, the clear/white jug started to turn brown. But for sure, your best bet is to use the small mix cans. Maybe if you get a case of the cans (6) and try those out, then you can get the 5gal can and just pour it into the small cans for race weekends.

But side note, that **** was great. You could easily add 2-5psi more AND add timing AND lean it out. We were running it with 92 non-oxy and running around the same map if we were running 100 leaded. So a little less timing then 110 lead. And we always ran the tank almost empty (to the light) then a can of torco and topped it off with 92 non-oxy.
