I was looking into an upgrade for my 02 WRX. What can I do to the transmission to make it better to handle extra power. I was wondering if I would have to get a hole new setup or is there something else that I could do that is a lot cheaper. And with the clutch, is it a good enough clutch on the car already to handle extra power or should I replace that as well. Thanks

regardless of what you do it will be expensive. The least expensive fix that will actually work is getting an STi RA spec gears, and those'll easily cost you a grand plus labor for a shop to put them in. Other than that is to get a whole 6-speed swap, in wich you'll need a whole lotta stuff that adds up to a whole lotta money
Tranny, flywheel, axles, DCCD if you want that, brakes most likely, and a whole bunch more.

A new fix that may work but is new is getting the Legacy GT's new 5-speed, heard it more beefed up in the areas needed most, in the casing itself.
