I'm going to be setting up a start of an anual tresaure hunt.
I'm going to talk to a few companys to organize some prizes for this year.

which may include a custom paint job or something along those lines.

to enter it will cost you 2 dollars per person / per vehicle... max of 4 people per car.

one dollar will goto next years fun for a better grand prize, and the other dollar will goto a pot which you will win if you find the item.

Working on getting a token pressed for the hunt.

I will keep you all updated....

    how its layed out...

once the prize is set, and in place... there will be a pre-anouncement of one month to try and drive up the main cashpot to join in.

the pre-pay guys will all get the clue at the same time at noon on the day of the event... the event will go as long as it takes to complete.

there will be 10 checkpoints in total.
Each checkpoint will contain a more advanced clue to find the coin.

the 10th clue will lead to the grand prize coin.

each checkpoint will be side missions. if you chose to complete the side missions there will be mini prizes for the winner of each side challenge.

The event will be anounced and names of the participants will be written down. Only those who have paid may compete... keep it fair, don't cheat, and have fun... if we have good clean honest fun we can do this every year.... and make the prizes bigger. ((everyone loves a nice big fat grand prize))

if you attempt to cheat, complete by not paying dues.. or other generally rude behavior will be disqualified.

I will be speaking with a few companys today to lock down some good quality prizes. I can promise you you will at least have a damn good time for 2 bucks....

It might be a while before people find the grand prize :)
it's going to definatly take a bit of "earning" ;)

just debating on how long we technically want this event to last.

the larger the event gets, the larger the attention, the larger the prises, the more fun we can have.

I would like to keep the scale around the city....

reaching no longer then a 30 minute drive around the circle of the twin cities.

    Update...
since this is the first year.. the prizes won't be all that awsome...

The grand prize you will be chasing down this year is

    Full hood Mural
painted to your specs by world famous airbrush artist Steve Driscol.

Mini prizes will be anounced day of.... or must be found.
date of event will be anounced as soon as the "token" is machined out.

Is this a public event? Its seems like there would be legal hoops to jump through if money is being collected:dunno: And what if "next years fun" Doesn't happen where does the money end up?

theres no legal issues involved because there is no gambling. This would be concidered a cherity / promotional event as no money is made for profit from the event. i'm doing this for fun, not gain.

I could just dump all entree into the end pot...

but then the following year we'll just have to announce the event sooner and hope enough people chime in advance.

It's not like i'm gonna getting rich if 100 people sign up, and i'm giving away a few grand of donated stuff.

Um, it takes 54 minutes and some change to do the loop of the Twin Cities. Just so you know.

    driving time yes....

    but take 54 minutes plus
10 waypoints with riddles / clues / pictures.

it won't be as easy as it sounds.

Not all of this will be done inside a car ;)
only to get you where you need to go.

    depends on the intrest growth.

I would like it to get as large as possible..... the larger it gets, the more the entrees, the larger your end pot is going to be... and next year, the larger the the grand prize.

The more attention it draws, the better the prizes basically.

the only sites that this has been added to are
    www.mnsubaru.com and www.stimafia.com

Subies are hearing about it first.
