Trunk Lock not working

I went and swapped out my STi trunk to a wrx trunk and the key lock on the back worked before but now after swapping the Key wont go more then half way in. The trunk release in the car and the emergency release in the trunk work. Any ideas????

 

Sounds like you may have jammed one of the tumbler tabs in the lock. Remove it, and check to see where the stuck one is.

 

i noticed one tab was stuck in the up position, how would i release it?

 

Try and find a pick or something. Maybe a small screwdriver. All the tabs inside should move freely.

 

i would try and use some eye glasses screwdriver and some wd40 to loosen everything up. How did the trunk fit?

 

trunk fits great and everything works except the key part. so just push it down from the top? or from the inside loosen it?
