So I recently picked up a new (to me) STi 04. Love it! Im, new to subarus but by no means a newb or new to new to turbo cars. Anyway, heres my question. Its got all the good stage 2 stuff (only the best parts installed), and it has a cobb accessport stage 2 map... I really want to enable launch control and no-lift quite badly, but im having problems updating the firmware on the accessport i got with the car. Honestly, thats the only thing i want the accessport for. I really want a custom tune ( guess this is my real question) who should i get to do it for me? Preferibly i want to pay someone, or a dyno/tune shop, to enable launch control, nls, and give me a safe and powerful tune...all at once (im looking for one stop shopping, and i have cash in hand!)
    Is this possible?

Are you running an Off The Shelf map or custom tune?

    Accessport Version 1 or 2?

Open-Source can't easily do LC (it's a pay-for-use patch), and I don't believe there is a commercially (or free) flat footed shift patch yet, either.

Nuke would probably know better then I :)...

Let me show you how it's done. You don't need all that launch control or FFS. I teach you!

For the OpenSource, only the Launch Control patch for the 16bit ecus are free.
    The Multifunction patch is not.
Any of the patches for the 32bit ecu are not free.
If you're using an OTS map for the accessport, you can d/l the maps with Launch Control & Flat Foot Shifting enabled, but do read the guide on how to enable it.

Not really sure what im running. I believe its an ots map from cobb (a pretty outdated one from what i can tell). I had problems updating the firmware for it on my laptop. Plus im not really interested in fooling around with it. Plus i kinda want a custom tune that i know is safe for my car with my mods. Thinking about contacting RS, Ive heard good things... am i right? Plus i'd like to have a firm baseline for future mods, so a dyno tune is what im leaning towards...

The six speed shifts fast enough to not really need flat-foot shifting. If you really needed it, you'd have a dogbox anyways, or a built auto depending on what you are doing with the car.

Lol my g/f calls my six speed violent comparing to the five speed .... You can get into the next gear so fast in the 6mt it just slams you back into the seat....really violent in 1st - 2nd

Just have Fuji teach you how to launch that , and practice your quick shifting and your good;).... RS will treat you right , I never have. Been tuned at rs but Matt did an excellent job on my block.... Quickly too
