I need some turbo ideas for the warpig...
right now she has stock internals (sti block).
whats about as large as she can go keeping in the safety range. (with a reasonable tune)

in the future I would like to upgrade the internals and go a bit larger.. but thats another ball game

20g is a pretty good bet for a stock bottom end.

You will eventually crack a ringland. Quality tuning can keep that from happening for a long time, but it will happen in the end.

why not get what you will get when its built and just run low boost? just because you have a turbo that can make 700whp doesn't mean you have to make that power. i spooled a 40r on my stock block with my twinscroll header just as fast as those fp greens and 20g's spool at. 3800 was what i remember it being. and aj is spooling it now around the 3200 mark and hitting full boost by 3600. if you build a turbo kit or choose the right set up you don't have to stay so small. you make more power on less boost with the bigger turbos so you can pick and choose when you want to make more power because you can keep growing with the same turbo. but get what you feel comfortable with

I guess thats what I was thinking in the long run..
what about the stock injectors tho? wouldn't I be running out of fuel even boosting low on a larger then life turbo? (40r)

You're going to need larger injectors regardless of what you get. Even a VF39 can max out your stock injectors.

Turbo choices all depend on what you want. How much do you want to wait for spool, how much top end can your other components take, etc. If you can afford it and really want to go big, just buy something big and get it tuned well, and deal with the consequences when stuff breaks..

Obviously, that assumes the car isn't your DD.

If you are budget limited and dont want to put money into other components, just get a 20g and be done with it. They're good for around 330-350 WHP with a good tune.

yes but you can get modded ones or but a set of 850's and you can have fun with that. things i would start with would be the turbo kit, 255 pump, injectors and a ecu tune to run it right. that will get you running and back on the road but you will be limited on how much power you can make. the other parts are just going to allow you to make more power the more you build the setup. upgrade untell you are satisfied. how ever i would recommend having this list if you were to do a 40r setup and be worth it off the bat:

twinscroll turbokit (40r, twin waste gates, header, up pipe, dp)
    oil and water lines
    catback exhaust
    255 pump
    850 injectors
ap or some kind of ecu control
a stand alone boost controller (eboost2, dtec, ect..)
    fmic

that setup will get you a easy 450-550whp on race gas and 350-400 on pump a stock sti long block. then do pistons, rods, fuel rails, 1000-1600cc injectors, ect and the power just goes up from there!
