turbo inlet

    couple of quesstions..

    the only gain from this is smoother air, and possibly a quicker spool up time correct?

    will this throw codes?

    Spool improves just a touch but throttle response was a noticable improvement for me.

    would you think this should be tuned, or is this an aceptable drop in mod?

    same question here. However i was told by Matt( BikerBoy) that you really dont have to tune for it.

    Tune isn't really needed for only this, imho.

    in other words.... not needed, but wouldn't kill you to tweek a tune for it?

    is the throttle responce much more noticable?

    whats a good inlet hose? And how hard is it to install? I think my stock one might be ripped .

    If I were to ever get one again, I'd probably try one of these:

    IMHO, the extra costs associated with the other "big 3" (ie, APS, Perrin, & Samco) don't justify the returns, if any. The APS is a bitch to install, the Perrin is a piece of **** that doesn't fit well, and the Samco is flat out overpriced.

    The Perrin replaced the stocker that was torn/melted at the rubber boot joint that connects to the turbo. If I had a stock replacement (and if the stocker wasn't such a PITA to install), it would've gone on the car. :biggrin:

    That sells it right there. Does anyone know if these are reinforced in some way (to prevent collapse)?

    For a 2.4 inch turbo, avo is the way to go.
