i just finish my vf11 to td04 swap with a tmic on my 91 t-leg, but somehow it lags. does this mean i need a tune up? if so, where and who? or what else do i need? currently its boosting 10 psi.

I doubt a 2.2 and a td04 has lag. So describe what you think is lag, but it more than likely is not lag.

Restrictor pill. Make sure you have the right one. Or just go MBC.

My guess is boost leak. or post maf leak causing a lean condition, knock, and pulled timing.

You are flowing more air with this turbo than with the old turbo. You need to also add gas to keep your afr in check. Do you know what your afr is?? If you are running lean, you will have less power, and the motor will det until it blows up.

The spool sound could just be different because of the different turbo. Not all turbo spool sounds the same, and then you add different intakes to the mix and it will change the sound even more.
