i was driving my car today "02 wrx" and the boost would'nt go over 10 pounds then it started bogging a little i down shifted and gave it a little gas and it jumped to 18 pounds and back to 5 pounds. needless to say i liomped it home about 5 miles upon further investigation it sounds like i spun a bearing or something in the turbo there is a rattling chattering sound coming from it only motor mods are cold air intake and cat back exhaust motor has 104k
Do you have a sound clip of this rattle? If you spun a bearing, you'd hear rod knock more than likely. Cold Air Intake? Unless you're tuned for it, those can be a bad idea. Not sure what to tell you, your symptoms are all over the place.
i wish i had a sound clip to help. and the noise is located at the turbo. as far as the spun bearing i was thinking in the turbo itself?
turbo was shot lots of play in the turbo. so i got a new td 05 16g hks cat delete uppipe 850cc injectors bigger intercooler and y pipe then its off to rs for a tune
