Turbo question

    Alright i got a question for you guys about a turbo... i can get my hands on some porsche turbos and i think they are the K series if i remember right but could i fit one of those in my STI? just wondering???

    you can fit anything on your sti... just how much you wanna spend and what it takes to make it work....

    Not all KKK turbos are tiny. But they probably are not worth all the work to make them fit.

    the kkk turbos look alot like gt30s in there size i will get the right size and post this tomorrow, i was just wondering because i got like a couple just sitting around the shop so just curious to see if i can use them, i think i heard one is around the size of a gt28 which ever they make. but to stay it works would it be worth some more power?

    just because porsche uses it doesnt mean it will be any good for a subaru or any better than any other turbo. If theyre free however, knock yourself out.

    If you're handy with a welder, hammer and grinder, go for it. My buddy had a saab turbo on his Leggy SS for a while.

    Do you work for porsche warranty? Cause i remember Caroucrap fired someone for taking and selling porsche slightly damaged and used parts...

    no i work for porsche racing company and they just have used turbos sitting around thats why i'm wondering.

    you would need to make a custom downpipe and maybe an uppipe since i bet the flanges are different.

    could be interesting.

    The flanges are very different. You'd need to make your own piping for it or modify your existing bits. Also, keep in mind that the oil/coolant lines on the turbo would also need to be properly plumbed. And depending on how it mounts in the car it came out of, you may have to clock the cartridge for proper coolant and oil flow.
