can you remove the 3 studs that are on the turbo? the ones that bolt up to the downpipe. If not anyone know what size they are? I have the wifes car all apart trying to change turbos and need the studs.

    Thanks
    Rich

You should be able to turn them out with a double/triple nut and some penetrant. Dont hold me to this but i believe they are M12x1.25

this is how I've done it as well. Use a bigger nut on the inside and a smaller nut on the outside. then you should be able to simply use a socket to pull it out. might want to soak with PB Blaster and hit it with a torch if needed.

thanks... it worked, but after I got them out I noticed the threads were bunged up from pulling the downpipe off so I just next day aired some new ones.
