it took me about 7hrs because i didn't know what to exspect, plus the car was not in the air and i had to crawl around on the floor.

after the install and when the car warms up there seems to be alot smoke coming from the d.p.
i thought it was from all the lube i was using and it would all burn up, after about 3min or so the smoke had dissapaited but still smokes a little, i wonder if this is because of a gasket problem, or it might be loose some where. anyways the car seems to breathe alot better, and the turbo spools up alot faster too, man its alot quicker now i need a d.p. to complete my t.b.e. and its all good. could i go to stage 2 93 oct. on my access port with just the up-pipe without any problems?. thanks anything would help.

    i have a tsudo up-pipe, because i also have a tsudo cat-back exhaust.
now as for installing wrxsti i dont know if i have anytime.

    congrats!

I had some smoke too for a while. I'm pretty sure it's just the liquid wrench burning off, that is, if you used any.

Did taking the airbox out help any? I've never seen that done, but I was wondering if it helps get the stock pipe out. I dremeled a tiny bit off the uppipe heatshield welds to get it out.

You need a TBE for stage two. You could've flashed to stage 2 with just a TBE and NOT the up-pipe, but you do need the TBE, not just a catback...

have fun with the quicker spool...
