Looking to help outfit some locals including myself w/ used rally tires. If you know of a good source for some, hit me up please. 15" & 14" sizes... soft or medium compound.
I have an entire garage full of rally tires. There's some stuff I might sell. I know I have a set of 15" pirelli km6's that I'm done with (good tread on them for rallyx or a budget rally team - I've gotten my use out of them though). the beads are a bit torn up from dismounting - some might hold air by themselves. others would need tubes (I've run km6's tubed before for this reason). $20/tire picked up -Carl
What compound are your km6's? I'd like to avoid tubes if I can, since de-bead is even more prone in rallyx. Any other tires? I'm not local, so are you willing to ship at my expense?
km6's are softs. a properly tubed tire is maybe more de-bead resistant than a non tubed tire (since you can pull the entire bead off the rim and the tube will stay inflated). They can be flatted if you tear the valve stem by slipping the tire on the rim which shouldn't be an issue for rallyx (I flatted one this way at LSPR coming off a jump when I was on a tubed set of km6s. didn't even notice it was flat - drove another 5 miles off stage and then a full transit back to service on it). I'd prefer not to ship them
