Define inexpensive, and help us out a bit...What size are you looking for, what year/model car and what size tires are you going to be running?

    Brian,

obviously if I wanted to pay 200 a wheel I could go get some from tire rack or discount tire, not to be a wisea$$.

Good luck unless you want steelies...Not to burst your bubble but I don't think you'll find any decent wheels for that price.
But if you do...let me know ;)

Just checking, thought I'd make sure. As far as wheels go, you'd be hard pressed to find stock WRX wheels with stock RE92s for less than 300-350, let alone a decent set of 16s or 17s with decent summer rubber. I got a steal on my BBS RKs, and that's because I got them for employee pricing and I was still over 400 dollars for just the wheels. Tires were another 400. I wish you luck, but I think you might have to up the price expectations.

I'm not looking for the rubber, wheels only. I have seen sets go in this range, on ebay other forums and here. I can always state what I would like.

John, where did I say that I wanted tires? I said wheels, I wouldn't think I should have to be so specific. but I guess I could also say I want rims. NO Tires.

If you do go bigger than 16"...you'll have to get new rubber.
I have also seen those sets on E-Bay for $200 + $150 for shipping, but not for a Subaru...the sets I've seen are more like $350-$400+ shipping and they are cheap, if I were you I try to wait and save some more money to get some good rims that you'll be happy with for years. Just my 2 cents.

These are the cheapest I found on E-Bay

a person might not think they have to tell their life story, but here goes. I am currently running blizak lm25's on my stock rims. I don't like to switch tires on rims so I would rather find a set of stock rims without tires and install a new set of summer tires. I would like to eventually upgrade to 18 inch rims but I don' drive the car much right now (too expensive to drive 120 miles a day), so speding alot on new rims is not a high priority. I was thinking that there might be a couple of people out there like myself looking at new set of rims that wouldn't mind selling the old rims for some cash.

also, why is it that people on a forum need to inform others of how unrealistic others price goals might be? Do you hve nothing better to do that tell others that they are wrong. If I am not mistaken 2 sets of wheels that are within my range have sold on this forum recently. If you didn't have wheels to sell or know someone with wheels to sell why would you look at this post? I would cirtainly entertain the idea of paying more for wheels, depending on what they were, if you have something tell me what it is and how much you want, what could be more simple than that?

    Calm down, dude.

They were just letting you know that $200 for a set of rims is a longshot. I've been keeping my eye out for a quality set and have never come across any set that were in that range.

We are just trying to help, and yet you act like an ass. Good job.

Oh, I thought you said summer wheels, meaning that you didn't want any stock wheels.
I found my stock WRX wheels on E-Bay for $250 with shipping but I've seen more of them go for around $300 for the stockers.
You just have to keep your eye out on E-Bay and make some bids and you'll get some in the $200-$300 range.
I tried for months to get some from someone on here, but never found any untill I bought mine on E-Bay, then someone posted some stockers for sale.
More or less, just keep looking around.

    Frogy,

I've decided to get rid of my00 impreza rs wheels 6 spokes with some a/s tires. Tires have about 30-50 % left on them. I think two rims are in perfect condition and the other two have minor curb rash but I have to check them to confirm. Im looking at $350 o/bo. Let me know

Alright, easy everyone. The original post is kinda vague, but I get what you're trying to say. Usually, when people are looking for summer rims, they're looking for 17's or a better 16 inch rim, ie wider and lighter. The stockers don't really come to mind as a "summer" rim choice. You probably won't have too big a problem finding a set of stock WRX wheels without tires in that 200 dollar range. The problem is that the original post wasn't very specific at all. If you'd have said you wanted a stock set of WRX wheels, then we'd know exactly what you were looking for. I'm not trying to get down on you, now that I know what you're looking for your original post makes sense. We're not asking for a life story, just let us know what it is you're looking for specifically so we have a better idea on how to help. The gist of the message that I got was that you were looking for any kind of wheel, so I asked for some info to help narrow down the choices. Once again, not trying to get down on you, just trying to help.
