We're going to need a lot more info than that. Car? When is it making the noise? Mods? Where is it coming from?

How are we supposed to help if all we're getting is a vague description at best?

What is a "whinning' sound? Like a horse?

Great. Where is it coming from? Front or rear? Any other noises associated with it? Does it happen at a certain RPM range? Is your car holding boost? High pitched/Low pitched?

We're not going to help on this unless you can put together an actual post with the specifics of what's going on. "I'm hearing a noise" isn't going to cut it. You're not giving us anything to work with.

Something along the lines of "When I'm accelerating I hear a whining noise starting at xxxx rpms and it holds to redline/stops at xxxx rpms. It seems to be coming from the front/rear of the car. The car is modded/not modded with xxxxxx miles. My check engine light is on/off."

    That's asking for help.

it sounds like its coming from the front. it gets louder as the rpm goes higher.

Right side? Left side? On boost or off boost? Does it make the noise on deceleration? Does it seem like it's coming from the transmission or the engine or the turbo?

I had something similar in my car.... I just had to dump the hooker I hit and stuffed in the trunk...

Really Does it do it all the time? or only some of the time It could be as simple as what road are you driving on... did u get new tires with those after market rims??

seems like its coming from both left and right. on and off boost and yes the noise is still there on deceleration until im at a complete stop.

I'm going to guess transmission related. How many miles are on the car?

Did you hear it when you revved the engine, but the car was not moving?

    Alternator or A/C possibly?

Higher as the rpms go up would likely indicate a belt driven component failure.

Check around all of the pulleys for the noise as you rev the engine.

If he's hearing it on decel it would indicate something gear or wheel bearing related to me.

He's still not giving us enough info to decide anything.

I'm recommending replacement of the entire drivetrain. It's the only way to be sure.
