So I stopped at valvoline quick cause I needed a quick oil change and then I figured I would get my coolant flushed/filled. They couldnt get the machine that fills the flushes the coolant to work so they hooked it back up and away I went... however about a couple miles down the road the cars temp starts to rise quick.

Ends up there was no pressure in the radiator hose so the coolant must have not been circulating at all. Weird cause that wasnt a prob before. So we clear the codes because the check engine light was on (not sure what the codes were) and the cars temp stabilizes.

Sounds like an air bubble. Time to "burp" it.

it just seems weird that I came in with no problems, got a cel, cleared it, and it seems ok now. Also the when the car was overheating the heat didnt seem to work until I cleared the cel.

Well at least its working for now.

that would be my guess... they probably pumped an air bubble in with the machine by accident... a lot of cars need to be 'burped' to get any air out of them due to poor design....

if it happens again... just run the car and remove the radiator cap...
