I am looking at maybe getting a wire feed welder with shielding gas. What do you guys recommend? That is not too expensive.
I have a Hobart 110. Its not too expensive and works great. Go to toll welding and you can try them out.
I'll second the Craftsman, but Lincoln makes some reliable welders also. I have a Lincoln, as does 3rik's dad.
what are your plans for using the welder? what are u making? if you say you are making a chopper I will puke in an envelope and send it to you via usps.
If I was to make a bike it would not be a chopper. I am starting to think I might just rent one from Toll in St. Paul. I need it for some work on a car. I am not sure how thick the metal is going to be.
