wow congrats. that is a very sexy bike.

    (r1 ftw!....)

I'm just saying that because riding an r6 is like riding a clown bike for me because i'm too tall and heavy. We need to stary an MNsubaru 2 wheeler auxiliary club.

edit: why is this in the for sale section?

Kick ass, nice bike, take the time to set your suspension up right away, the difference may be amazing, or it may be close, either way do.

I am seriously thinking of trading my TL1000R for a GSX1000 but am reading stories about the frames breaking??

I am thnking about getting away from the v-twin.. thought the torque and power and sound rocks.. I want somethign smoother...

was htinking a busa but my bro-inlaw says good luck insuring it.. so I will be patient and see...

rofl: imo the hayabusa is a fat dude bike. don't get one. Its not pleasant to ride and makes power all over the top end but is relatively tame in the bottom end.

and the insurance costs will outstrip the cost of the bike in like 5 years. its known for being the lust object of a lot of riders who whave no idea how to ride a 1300cc gigantor bike that doesnt turn easily. I think it would be no fun having a 'busa unless you lived somewhere that you could regularly take it above 100mph.

watch out that you don't get any tickets. I didn't buy a sports bike because I would have been in danger of losing my license for antics like that, and those things are built for antics like that. I'd keep the stock pipe. The high pipes/underseat are so common that the stock one almost looks more individual now.

We should have a meet down at betty's sometime. I see the mnsubaru bike posse there every once in a while.

No kidding, the assend of that bike looks like it was thrown together at the last second. "OMFG we need lights?! OK, here, stick this aluminum arm thing on there that I got from a 30 dollar riceboy wing, then we'll slap some lights and such on it. OK, sweet, DOT approved."

    Otherwise, neat bike.

the 1st thing I did was take the lights off the back, they make a nice kit that makes the tail light into turn signals

well you guys can say what you want about the looks but i love it all and thats why i bought it... and for the rear end i am planning on getting a new plate braket that brings it tighter to the fender and some smaller turn signals and some sliders. Thats it, no other mods for now.

the bike is $100 a month with 0 down for those who are looking

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and every manufacturer went ugly. The new ZXs are hideous. I never thought I would see the day when Suzuki made the best looking bike, but there it is...

I couldnt disagree more. the GSX series is as fugly as ever, and the lemmming paint on them makes it hilarious when you see like 6 of them go by, they look like they're all the same from the 650 up to the 1100. There is barely a visible difference in their entire line of sportsbikes. At least with the yamahas you can see the family resemblance but you can tell them apart without having to read the number on the side.

I think the yamahas and hondas get better looking every year. The design is pretty radical but at least they're pushing the envelope. Granted they do look like cyborg ninja insects from beyond the 21st century, but thats the whole idea, and I think its pretty cool.

Lets do a vote, which one of thsse bikes is the most bland, generic design on the market right now:

I'm sorry, but the gsx-r's look positively old fashioned sitting next to a new cbr or r1.

and this is the ugliest production bike known to man:

I think that is why I like the GSX line, at least in the looks dept. The Alien insect space look doesn't appeal to me at all.

the gsx line to me just looks like lazy design. I think the cbr does the best job of sot of incrementally making small changes to make it look meaner, the GSX just offers fairings that look like they came from 1996.

but this being said, i'm only basing opinions on appearance, for the way they ride I actually wouldn't mind owning any of them =]

that is unless you look at a bike like an aprilia rsv, which has spoiled me for anything else, its just that gorgeous. It will however get whupped by any of the above bike all of which cost half as much.

^My vote is that we at least get to pick from the newest model of each bike. I know for a fact thats not the the new GSX-R. And maybe some people can't tell the difference between the GSX-R line but but I sure can! check out the 06 suzukis you may feel a bit better about them they look a bit more aggressive but keep the clean "lazy" style. BTW Speedemon the bike looks awesome:biggthumpup: Ride safe!

    ok there you go:

is it a 600? 750? 1000? who knows? they all look the same =[

unless it has a large lameoid kanji on the side, then its a HHAAAAAYAAABBBUUUUSAAAAAAA! (must do ninja pose while saying it and jump kick)

I do have to admit the new naked gsxthingy deos look pretty hot though, so there are some good suzukis:

you may say the suzuki i sbland.. but when ya got a good thing stick to it....

can anyone say why doesnt subaru puch the envelope and change vrom a boxer to a ??? v-8... I mean... come one

yes they all look the same but hey suzuki make great bikes... and yamaha has finally caught up to Ducati in teh design department... either way it comes down to what you like...

I like the Busa's... especially for turboing.. ha ha ha thats why it will be hard to get rid of the TL1000R if I decide too... its looks like a crotch rocket but is lsightly larger.... I want more of a cruiser in teh race look.. so it will be hard...

or you could get the bike that runs circles around the busa, the ZX14R...its a bit spendy, and basicly they are all sold out already, but, i think its one sexy machine, alot say different, it looks good in real life.

    FTW.

That picture doesnt really do it any justice, it looks much more impressive in person. the zx14r is just a better bike, thankfully it came to give the hayabusa some challenge. I like a lot of kawasakis these days, so long as theyre not in factory green.

cant find a good pic right now, but i guess it wasnt good enough that the zx12R would beat the busa by a little bit. zx12r IMO is a good blend of extremly powerfull bike, yet still not so huge and bulky like the busa
