It's probably because during the winter months that the ethanol blend is at it's lowest. :)

I can see if chris or Jordan can post it, I didn't get a copy of the dyno graph.

I was suprised at how it idols, it does run quite rich at idol, 11.5:1!!! but with 1150cc injectors, thats what you get I guess!

There are two thing wrong with the pic...

    1: its damn small
    2: it is upside down

but the blue thing in the pic is the new injector, and if you flip it rightside up you can see the fuel rail is relocated and the brown pheno spacer is between the block o=and the tgv deletez:cool:

(get a new perscription scuba (old) steve!)

Uh, that sucks......the 11.5:1 is the gasoline afr equivalent, right?

I was able to get 1000cc injectors to easily idle at 14.7:1

If you tune it right, you end up breaking even with 92 octane when you factor dollars spent per mile driven. Basically, you use 30% more fuel, but it's 30% cheaper.

That's how it was for me back when I ran the stuff.

yeah I know.... but it sure does feel good to be moving like this on a "drivable tune" with a preformance tune coming up in june.

MAP is doing some R and D on useing low impedence injectors, so I think this will be perfected soon, but when under throttle the car is spot on and it feels beastly:biggrin:

yes...you're right, especially with a tune. but i meant to say...if you were to have two same cars (hybrid) and have one run e85 and the other on regular...e85 is cheaper at the pump but more fill-ups. did this experiement in biochem class. however, e85 is equivalent to higher oct lvl so who cares, right? lol.

especially if you have 338/398 at the wheel!! :yumyum:

David, looks like you have the highest torque # at the wheel on a stock wrx transmission (on mnsubaru).

That's kind of low on their dyno? Well, like you said don't do a full tune on the E70 blend and cheap cheap gas! Hows the gas mileage going?

If you want to use low impedance injectors to their full potential, use a peak-and-hold driver. Low impedance injectors are generally designed for a 4 amp spike and a 1 amp hold.

AEM has a really nice one for $350, or FJO has a four channel unit for $150.
