What kind of music do you enjoy listening to when you're driving or stuck in traffic?

I like pop, dance, and smooth jazz. I sometimes want to get home quicker and listen to punk music or Initial D for a few miles. ;) The radio stations I listen to are KDWB 101.3 and 100.3 Smooth Jazz.

iPOD baby, I got it going straight to an input on my deck. A thousand songs at the touch of my fingers. I can listen for like 2 1/2 days with out hearing the same song. But I have the following presets on my FM1:

    1. 93.7 (Rock)
    2. 96.3 (rap/hip-hop)
    3. 104.1 (80's)
    4. 88.5 (Jazz88)
    5. 89.3 (Classical)
    6. 99.5 (Classical)

I usually dont listen to any music when I'm driving, I like to hear what my engine is doing. All thought I do check for the weather and traffic reports if I'm traveling once in awhile.

Noah, is an iPod skip-resistant? What's involved with installation and price?

Yia, I think you should trash your slow jams and move on with your life. You'll end up commiting suicide after a certain limit. Instead, listen to happy songs... songs like what that purple dinosaur sings; "I love you, you love me. We're a happy family..."

Yeah, I have never had my Ipod skip on me nor have any of my friends skipped on them. As for the install into the car you can either get a caple that goes into the cd changer port on any aftermarket HU, or you can plug it into an extra set of AUX lines and use that. For a stock HU I dont really know where you can attach it too but if I were you I would wait a couple of months and pick up any regular Alpine HU and get there new Ipod hook up. It allows you to connect your Ipod and control it all from the HU instead of having to keep your ipod out. This also allows you to hide your Ipod somewhere else in your car and not have to disconnect it everytime you park or leave your car somewhere

    A small toad.

I have never had it skip. But, it can run a little slower as in
in-between songs when there's alot of memory being used. You can see my set up too.

Whats wrong with not listening to a radio. I just installed a radio in my car. It has been over 2 years since I have had a radio in there. Besides, most of the stuff I listen to is not on the radio.

That's mostly true for me aswell, but once I get it up to speed, and into 5th gear, mostly techno and alternative rock for me (odd combination, I know), but I like pretty much anything played on 93X.

it is practically impossible for an ipod to skip, due to the fact that it is not really a typical mp3 player, and definitely not a cd player. they work off of mini computer hard drives, hence the ability to store the ammount of songs they can. i have had mine for over a year, and no problems so far. the only bad thing about them, is that the internal battery is only good for so long, and then you either have to replace it, or find out how to change the battery yourself. as for the deck, check here. http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/leading_technology/leading_tech_kca-420i.htm. you can find some ideas as to what you are looking for. alpine was the ones who pioneered the whole ipod, car thing, so look to them first.

on teh rare occasion that i would listen to my radio (atenna is broken) i have it set on 99.5 Classical. other than that my cd deck has been getting one heck of a work out lately. its just constantly streaming Metal goodness. everything from Symphony X to Nightwish, with the occasional Metallica/Megadeath mixed in.

i couldnt stand not hearing the song for over 2 days. last tiem i had Nightwish "Once" in my deck it stayed there for well over a month on repeat.

I'm pretty eclectic, every day is different, listen to 93 x, B96, KDWB, whatever 101.7 nand 104.7 are.

But i love trance, got a lot of Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto, etc... also love Breakin Benjamin, Linkin Park, crossfade.

    Everything is good.
