What offset should

    i have a 2003 wrx sedan, with a 2 inch drop i want 18's, what do you guys think?

    There's a whole lot of information you still need to tell us. What size tire are you running? What width wheel? What springs will you be running? Offset is just part of the puzzle.

    +1 on tire tire size.... it might be tough goin with 18s.... prolly wanna keep the offset low.... i cant remember what they call for as far as offset goes... but the lower the better.

    offset is meaningless without knowing the desired wheel width. and then that is pretty meaningless without knowing the tire size.

    what is the wheel offset? what doe it mean? I thought it was the spread of the lugs.

    a real basic description of offset is the distance between the center of the wheel and the wheel's hub

    i have 02 wrx on 18x7.5 40+ with eibach pro kit and with 235/40/18 and i run perfectly fine...if this helps...

    That's a scary offset on those wheels...7-10mm out of spec, Your wheel bearings are not going to like you.

    I've been running 18x7.5 +40 for nearly 50k miles with no wheel bearing problems.

    I'm not saying it's instant death, but it's going to create a higher load on the bearing and that can lead to premature failure.
