Wheel Adapter/ Spacer Question

Hey, I picked up what I was told to be a set of 04 BBS's but found out when i got home they are 05-07. I was wondering if anyone here has used an adapter/spacer like in the link below, and if so how are they?

That's pretty f@cked that someone would do that...hopefully you didn't pay 5x100 BBS price for them.

Were the wheels cheap enough to justify $300 adapters?

 

The biggest issue with adapters is they are also spacers. That's pretty awesome that they're only 15mm thick, but that's still a pretty big change in offset (not acceptable, to me). Also, adapters are as thick as they are (usually double that, or so) to make them strong. I don't think I'd trust anything that thin unless it was steel.

No I didn't pay 04 price, grabbed them because I thought I was getting a deal and I've wanted these wheels for a while. I'm not a fan of spacers but just considering my options besides selling them.
