I am considering picking up some 17 x 8 +47 offsite Work Emotion CR Kai 5 x 100 bolt pattern. so I know the bolt pattern will fit my car and 17x8 is the same as stock, but the 47 offset is different. From my research on NASIOC I found the stock offset is 53 and that the lower this number is, the greater the offset. I believe this means that the bolt holes are closer the outside of the rim. But, does this necessarily mean that the wheels stick out further compared to the fenders? For example, the spokes could be very bowed thus maintaining the stock look, or is that exactly what offset means? Also, any thoughts on those rims? Thank!

Thanks! That does help. One follow-up: so an offset of 47 means that the wheel will stick out more than the 53?

Your sig. doesn't show up for me I guess.

17x8+47 will fit just fine on a 11+ shouldn't need to do anything.

I'm in the market for some summer rims, I'd like to leave the stockers mounted with my winter tires (bought new in Dec). I've only seen a few pics of it done, but I think gold rims with my black wrx would look good, thoughts? The enkei's in the below link look pretty cool. Should I just scrap the summer tires it came with and go to 18s?

Those are nice looking wheels but that's the bolt pattern for an STI. You'll need 5 X 100 for a WRX.

Thanks...they're STILL my favorite cartoons! Well, along with the other Looney Tunes gang. Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional!

any advice on where (site) to buy rota's (i'm pretty sure I'm going with g-forces). I found the following sites: wheeldude.com, fastwrx.com, aspecwheels.net
any experience with any of those vendors? others I should consider? Thanks!
