Seeing as this is going from where to go to where you went and where you go ill give my 2 cents. I also went to University of Utah for 2 years then at the end of last year i transfers to UST.
no one here goes to Hamline. I see a black 06 limited at the parking lot all the time. Asian guy driving it.
My mother used to teach art history. undergrad from rutgers, phd from princeton. Now she's a dean. She says art historians are the only artists that can truely function in real life. But, like you, it took years to find the appropriate venue for her knowledge.
Scsu I go to SCSU: Major: Environmental and Technological Studies Minor: Philosophy Graduated From UTI in Arizona in 05
Another example of how, unless you get a phd, it's just very difficult to earn an honest living. There are a lot of fields like that. Where you have to take it to the most extreme level for it to pay off. It's kind of sad too because I have a true appreciation for art and creativity.
you can be artistic and creative and remain productive too. its just hard to find a way for you to apply what you are
I think it's hard to convince the man that a piece of paper that has the word art anywhere near it doesn't mean you're incapable of doing anything pretty much anyone else can do.
my buddy cheng just started there too....he drives the white 97 gsx...you know him..?? oh..and i go to anoka tech for automotive...
Thanks for the input Zak. I was kind of thinking along those lines. I hope she can find a decent job with her art hist degree. atleast something enjoyable. Bummpy: are you enjoying those free MBA meals that they always have at carlson?
heh, yeah... sometimes it's such a joke. I don't think I've even come close to tapping into that yet, there's always some seminar or keynote speaker or whatever. I just never have the time with work and all. Check this out: They have one of these craps like once a week!
^ yeah i see them every time i am over at Carlson. Since I am over there at around 5:00pm 4/5 days a week. I think i might dress up and try to sneak out some free food. think it will work?
I wouldn't even dress up. Just walk up to it like you're supposed to be there I'm there tuesdays and thursdays around 5pm. I'm supprised I haven't bumped into you or anything.
I also work full time during the week, and do my studies in the evening in a bottle of Salor Jerry!
ahh. I should try that. but the MBA might get mad at me, they look so up tight. I have class on the 1st floor, till 5:15. then normally head to the connector stop at blegen hall.
Booo! I did my time in Grand Forks at UND for air transport. Fat lot of good that degree did me
