I know you guys have been doing a lot of talking about getting your cars tinted.

Over the weekend I was speaking to one of the owners from Street Scenes Tint in Spring Lake Park. I was talking to him about getting a deal for tint for everyone here. He told me if we can get 3 or more people at a time, he would do the tint with lifetime warranty for $200.

If there is anyone that is interseted let me know. If there are any questions let me know and I will find out for you. I know he doesn't do color but does platinum. I can find out the cost on that for those that are interseted.

My fiancee and I would both do our cars however, if you've read the sticky, neither of our cars are Subies. Is that a problem? I have my 99 Saturn SC1 and she has a 05 Pontiac G6.

Anyway, that would be 2, then we'd just need a third.

Plus, that would be a bonus, seeing as how that's really close to where we live, she's in Coon Rapids right off Foley and I'm in Blaine, right off University.

Honestly I don't know but that shouldn't be a problem. I'll find out for you and let you know. Cause I have a friend that owns a civic and he wants to get his done as well.

I think he meant that the price would be 200/each if they can get three or more people for a group-buy kind of thingy.

He's got it right. $200 for each as long as we have 3 or more at a time.

See the strip of tint across the top of the windshield? This is my old car and I loved having the tint across the top. I would recommend it to anyone getting there windows done.

Nice civic.... it reminds me of my old one. I miss that ride...

But now I have my WRX....:D:D:D

I know he can also do tint on top of your windshield. I just don't know if it cost extra. I'll find out for those who want that done as well.

I hope the picture is visible.

Anyway, that's my current daily driver. It's a 99 Saturn SC1 auto. Nothing special. The stuff I've added is in my signature. Tint and wheels are in order of what's next, then it's a matter of upgrading audio components. The wheels and upgrading aren't planned for any time soon, but maybe eventually. Then I'll transfer it over to my WRX when I get one (hopefully sooner than later).

Anyway, how dark do you think I should go? I don't know how easy it is to tell the color in the picture (on my computer it looks really dark, but there's a problem with my monitor (contrast doesn't work right). It's a dark green car (don't know proper name, but kind of a forest green).

Would 50% be enough or should I go 35 or 20? I would like 35 at least...maybe darker, but what are your opinions?

Also for a black car (fiancee's G6), how dark would be enough? I don't think she'll want darker than 35...I think she's a little worried about going darker than 50 even because she doesn't want to get pulled over for it. I don't think that would be a problem though.

How dark you want to go it really up to you. I know alot of people that does 35 and hasn't been pulled over yet. I going 35 and my car is black.

Well I would just like opinions. A friend of mine used to have a 4-door Lumina and she had only 35 (dark maroon car), on her black Lumina Z34, she has 20%...looks really good...and on her Firebird she has 35 I think. Doesn't seem dark enough even on a black car. My theory is that since your brain plays tricks on you, if you have a dark car it's better to go darker (darker the car, darker the tint...black should be 20% or darker)...vice versa also...lighter the car, looks darker and looks fine lighter...on a white car you could do 50% and it still looks pretty dark.

I just can't decide on 35 or 20 for myself. It's going to be one of those. I may get a brow as well. I'm not a huge fan of them, but my car needs something up there.
